I dont think its uematsu, last i heard he resigned from FF or somehting. But i have afew of the tracks from it if anyones interested and doesnt already have them. "kiss me goodbye" is fantastic.

Ha, it is Uematsu. It's his only contribution to the soundtrack. He didn't resign from Final Fantasy, he's still done at least one tune for each game in the series.

He left Square Enix though and set up his own music company that makes music for all sorts of developers. Like he's done the main theme for the new Smash Brothers game on the Wii.

He still does shit for Square though, and he'll be contributing again when Final Fantasy XIII comes around.

Ok the sites been all revamped since my last visit. Go into the Final fantasy section and at the top there's the links for the 2 albums. Allow me to suggest.
Those who fight further, Clash on the big bridge, Decisive battle, force your way, and when you have 12 mins. Dancing mad....off the first album and
Maybe i'm a lion, Vamo' alla Flamenco, man with the machine gun, and matoya's cave off the second.

They're just my fav's off each, i like all their stuff though, with the exception of 1 or 2.

Yeah i've never heard the original thought, like as in got to that point in the game. SO i started it up again. Apparently it's like the last boss suite. And the start of it gets played in the games intro.
I'm just waiting for the next Black mages album, apparently they're "working on it" nothing else. Then again, the news that the second one was gonna come out kinda came out of nowhere.
If they do "the extreme" i'll die happy.

There's a nice souped-up version of One Winged Angel on the Advent Children OST. It appropriately plays during the Cloud-Sephiroth fight. I reckon Uematsu got the Black Mages chaps in for it.

Still OWA and Darkmessenger are still no Extreme. And of course Dancing mad. I played and completed ff6 last week just to hear it in it's original format....the bm's stayed so true to the song.

It's impossible for me to pick a best/favourite by Uematsu. FFVIII is packed with amazing tunes from the last disc onwards though. I think Ciarán and myself agree on The Castle being probably the best thing ever.
